Design and EngineeringThe fabrication process begins with technical design and digital engineering. Engineers create 2D/3D CAD models, digital twins, and structural simulations to define dimensions, material thickness, IP/NEMA protection levels, and component layout. Thermal simulations and airflow planning are conducted for densely loaded panels to prevent overheating. A Bill of Materials (BOM) is finalized for procurement and production, ensuring compatibility with standards like IEC 61439 or local equivalents .2. Material Selection and PreparationHigh-quality distribution boxes start with careful material selection. Common materials include galvanized steel for indoor use and stainless steel for outdoor applications. Surface treatments such as anti-rust coatings, powder paint, or other protective finishes are applied. Each batch undergoes thickness, hardness, and corrosion resistance tests to ensure durability .3. Cutting, Punching, and FormingSteel sheets are cut using CNC laser machines or shearing tools to achieve precise dimensions. Holes for cable entries, ventilation, hinges, and mounting are created using CNC punching or turret systems.
